Blazing Trees was a lifeline for our family during one of our darkest seasons, when our previous organization was unequipped to support us through a deep family crisis while serving as missionaries in East Asia. 

James not only prayed for us but also mobilized others, provided counseling, and tirelessly advocated for us as we rebuilt our support network while transitioning mission organizations. We can’t imagine where we’d be without the unwavering care and support of James and the Blazing Trees family.

I see Blazing Trees as the beating heart of James Harvey: a dependable prayer warrior, trusted companion, and friend who sticks closer than a brother. James not only helped me grow in my own walk with the Lord, he also opened my eyes to new ways of discipling others.

Blazing Trees serves a unique purpose in the Kingdom of God by facing the spiritual war head-on and equipping those worldwide with tools to keep fighting for the Great Commission.

I’m eternally grateful for my friend James, because he has walked with me through hardship, while being a remarkable companion with whom I am sharpened in Christ. I count James as one of my greatest friends, and I look at him as evidence of God’s grace, love, and care for the nations. It is an honor to know James and journey together in Christ.

I was asking the Lord for a partner who shared a big heart for the Great Commission, while longing for a deeper friendship with Jesus. 

Over the last seven years, God has cultivated that friendship in my relationship with James Harvey. It's awesome to be a part of a ministry where freedom in Christ is encouraged and celebrated! Thanks my brother.

After years of urban cross-cultural church planting, I burned out and was ready to leave our mission field. But the Holy Spirit, through James and the ministry of Blazing Trees, renewed my heart: teaching me to rest in the Lord, embrace my limits, and trust His plan. I’m deeply grateful for their support in keeping me on the mission field, and by God's grace, ministry is now more life-giving and Spirit-led than ever.

There have been multiple times where I have felt being a missionary is too hard. It has been in those moments where the Lord has used James in my life to send me either a prayer via audio text, or set up some time to meet online.  James always provides a loving, listening ear, and I'm thankful to our Heavenly Father for bringing me across his path.

I thank God for James Harvey and Blazing Trees. When James sends out a prayer message or prays with me, his calming voice and scriptural insights are a God-send.  James is a rare treasure who truly lives to intercede for those serving the nations. 

As for his passion to tell God's story, it is evident in everything he does. I am humbled and blessed to serve alongside him in the kingdom. A true blazing tree for Jesus!

God has used James Harvey as a faithful friend and intercessor in my life, sacrificing his time to pray for me, raise support, and help establish a prayerful culture within our global ministry. 

Through James, God has provided encouragement, stability, and Kingdom advancement, all driven by a heart that seeks nothing in return but to glorify Christ. His obedience and generosity have been a testimony of God’s love and provision in my journey.

James has been my primary facilitator for missions and generosity for many years. He is a great teammate and friend. My two favorite things about James are his loyalty and commitment to pray for the people of Blazing Trees.

I trust James with my finances and more importantly my vision. I have never been loved better by a leader, and I value his wisdom more than he could know.

James and I met through a friend in September 2022. Our shared passion for supporting cross-cultural missionaries knits us together to further Jesus’ kingdom. Through our partnership, I am hopeful that we can have a greater impact on missionaries throughout the world.

My brother James has been a Godly steward of the Word and Spirit of God in his life and in the lives of those in his ministry. I am so thankful for his wholehearted zeal and his singleminded fervor for the Kingdom and people of God.
