Victorious Boy Warrior Story

1 Samuel 17

Drawing Notes

Giant Enemy – huge warrior & boy – Let me tell you a story about how a brave youth killed a terrifying giant champion.

Widespread Fear – running coward – The Israeli and Philistine armies were camped on opposite sides of a valley. Goliath the giant dared any soldier from Israel to fight. Everyone ran away, afraid of his intimidating power.

Lion Slayer – lion face – David, Jesse’s youngest son, visited his brothers in the army to bring them food. He told King Saul he could defeat the giant, because he already killed both a lion and bear to protect his flock.

Glorious Triumph – boy, sword, giant head – David fought the giant, killed him, and cut off his head with his sword. Israel won a great victory over their sworn enemy that day.
