Signal Prayer – 2 Corinthians 3
Please pray through these Scriptures with us, blessings over our generation.
Boldness > Therefore, brothers & sisters, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:19-23 NKJV)
Calming Storms > Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind stopped, and it became completely calm. Jesus said to his followers, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark 4:39-40 NCV)
Freedom > Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV)
Good News > “When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” (Ephesians 2:17-18 HCSB)
New Heart > “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” (Ezekiel 36:25-26 NLT)
Perseverance > We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:3-5 NIV)
Salvation Fountain > With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the LORD! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is!” (Isaiah 12:3-4 NLT)
Worthy > “He said: The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge. My shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, You save me from violence. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:2-4 HCSB)

A SIGNAL is a way of communicating something important: a sign that people have been waiting to see, a message that people have been hoping to hear, a confirmation of connection.
What is the Holy Spirit saying about this SIGNAL prayer focus?
Prophecy Fulfilled > Jesus has sent the Holy Spirit to us as the signal that what all the prophets were saying and promising have come true.
Daily Revelation > The Holy Spirit is the signal of heaven, waves of communication between Jesus up in heaven and mankind here on earth. We have the Scriptures, yes, AND the Holy Spirit makes them come alive, helps us understand, counsels us in all our desires and decisions, guides us wherever he is calling us to go, giving us discernment to perceive and resist counterfeit signals.
Critical Connection > The Holy Spirit is the connection we need with the Father & Son in heaven. Jesus said he does NOTHING apart from first resting in the Father, perceiving clearly where he is already moving, and then joining him. How many of our decisions and activities do not require fellowship with and revelation from God?
Relationship Inheritance > The Holy Spirit at work in each one of us is the signal that we are Jesus’ true disciples: not how much we know about the Scriptures, not our education or experiences, not our ministry works or results. This relationship with Jesus fulfilled through walking in the freedom of the Spirit is the SIGNAL that we are worshipping in SPIRIT and in TRUTH.
Hearing Clearly > Jesus said WAIT until the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and then we will be his witnesses to the nations operating in his power; the distinction between ministry being done FOR him rather than THROUGH him. We do not want to minister the kingdom for him in his name, we want him to minister his kingdom through us as we rest in his presence and overflow with his power. The SIGNAL is not some neutral energy source, it’s not strategic thinking, it’s not correct doctrine, it’s not great ideas, it’s not accumulated knowledge of what others have done or think or believe is fruitful. The SIGNAL is John 10, “My sheep know my voice. They don’t listen to the hired servant, and they run away from the thief. My sheep know my voice, they listen for when I speak, and when they hear me, they follow.”
Trustworthy Companion > Brothers & sisters, let’s rest and listen, soaking in the Holy Spirit river. First, we must discern the strength of our SIGNAL, our connection with Jesus through the Holy Spirit; then, we refresh and renew in his presence, delight in his love & gifts, listen to his voice, receive his revelation, and follow him wherever he leads, because we know that he’s been there before us: he is with us, he will never leave us or forsake us, and wherever he goes, he will show us what to do and tell us what to say, because we are simply pure wellsprings overflowing with his living waters by his amazing grace and sovereign supervision.
Glory, glory, hallelujah! Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is Jesus who comes in the name of Yahweh. With all angels and archangels and all the company of heaven, we praise the Lamb of God, we praise the Lion of Judah who was slain for the sins of the world. And we sing together, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD God Almighty who was, and who is, and who is to come, world and age without end.” And we say, “Maranatha!” Jesus has come, Christ will return, come quickly, Shalom Messiah!
Amen. So be it. Grace & peace.
