Rebel Prophet Story (Jonah 1)
Wicked City – city, serpent, crown, cloud – God told his prophet Jonah to visit Nineveh City and announce his judgement against the people for their wickedness.
Jonah’s Escape – water, sailboat, man, flame – Jonah chose to board a sailboat heading away from the city.
Terrible Storm – thunderstorm, boat, waves – God sent a violent storm. The sailors prayed to their gods for help. They woke up Jonah and asked him to pray also.
Self Sacrifice – water, boat, sailor, flag – Jonah knew the storm was his fault. He convinced the sailors to throw him overboard. When Jonah hit the water, the storm stopped. The sailors believed in God. God also sent a whale to rescue Jonah. He lived inside for three days.
