Overcome Prayer Message – March 31, 2020
COVID-19 Prayers
“Christ Overcomes Viral Infectious Diseases”
Prayers for all those facing infection and risk of infection during this global pandemic.
Overcome > “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”” (John 16:33 NLT)
Triumph > “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NIV)
Prayers for all those who are grieving over loss, grieving over loved ones who have passed, wrestling with depression and despair.
Death’s End > And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4 NIV)
Heart Strength > Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you?And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.(Psalms 73:23-26 ESV)
Prayers for all those who are sick today, who are wrestling with affliction and diseases, fear, worry, and anxiety.
Suffering Heirs > “The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs — heirs of God and coheirs with Christ — seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.” (Romans 8:16-17 HCSB)
Trustworthy Protection > My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”(John 10:27-30)
Prayers for the Lost and those in Bondage who need salvation today, who need to be rescued, who need a new heart and new spirit, who need resurrection life alone through Jesus Messiah, the King of Glory.
New Creation > Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this new life is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)
Resurrection Life > Jesus said to Martha, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” Martha replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” (John 11:25-27)
Prayers for the Church to rest in Yeshua’s shalom, to embrace the presence and peace of the Holy Spirit, to be a light shining in the darkness, a safe place and refuge for the hurting and fearful.
Faithful Peacemaker > Be full of joy all the time. Never stop praying. In everything give thanks. This is what God wants you to do because of Christ Jesus. Do not try to stop the work of the Holy Spirit. Do not laugh at those who speak for God. Test everything and do not let good things get away from you. Keep away from everything that even looks like sin. May the God of Peace set you apart for himself. May every part of you be set apart for God. May your spirit and your soul and your body be kept complete. May you be without blame when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. The One Who Called You is faithful and will do what he promised. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 NLV)
New Creation Life > For you have acquired new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you; giving you the full revelation of God. In this new creation life, your nationality makes no difference, or your ethnicity, education, or economic status – they matter nothing. For it is Christ that means everything as he lives in every one of us! (Colossians 3:10-11 TPT)
