About Us

Living Water was born from a deep love for the people of Ethiopia and a desire to serve them in a practical, lasting way.

Wes grew up in Ethiopia, where he saw firsthand the challenges many families face in accessing something most of us take for granted—safe, clean drinking water. Wes and Laura have returned to Ethiopia and witnessed families walking long distances to collect water from unsafe sources.

For many communities, the burden of finding water affects nearly every part of daily life. Women and children may spend hours collecting water, and families often must gather firewood just to boil the water they have carried home. Children can miss opportunities for school, and waterborne illness places an additional burden on families already living with very little.

Through Living Water, our mission is to bring safe drinking water to communities in need by drilling wells in Ethiopia. We plan to employ Ethiopians to operate our drilling equipment and complete the wells, empowering local teams with the knowledge and skills to continue this work. This will allow the locals to maintain and care for their well, creating jobs and purpose. This relationship will ensure that clean water continues to flow for years to come.

Our name comes from the words of Jesus in John 4:14, where He speaks of the gift of living water. Our prayer is that every well will provide more than clean water—that it will be an expression of Christ's love and a reminder of the hope we have in Him.
