Blazing Trees is a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by our CEO James Harvey in 2016. We manage support-raising missionary funds and provide prayer, encouragement, and resources to leaders and their teams scattered across the nations.

Welcome To Blazing Trees

My name is James Harvey, and I want to welcome you to our tribe of support-raising missionaries. I founded this ministry in 2016 with a single goal: create a safe, free space for missionaries to be themselves and follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

We are a family of misfit missionaries. We are creatives and free spirits. We just want the freedom to be accepted as we are, and the freedom to follow Jesus as the Holy Spirit leads us. Our spiritual gifts are diverse, and mission fields vast. We share one strategy: rest in the Holy Spirit and listen to his voice.

What Motivates Our Team?

  • Our Vision is the "Maranatha Cry," the longing to see our Lord Jesus return.

  • Our Passion is to see every unreached tribe engaged with the Gospel and indigenous disciples making disciples.

  • Our Greatest Joy is to see support-raising missionaries fully supported and consistently cared for while they make extraordinary sacrifices to finish Jesus' Great Commission.

  • Our Excitement is watching more and more Christians in the West getting directly involved in the Great Commission by befriending missionaries and investing in them.

  • Our Strategy is to Abide in Jesus (John 15), Rest in His Spirit (Matthew 11), Listen to his Voice (John 10), and Walk Faithfully with Him every day (Galatians 5).

Four Ways We Serve Missionaries

  1. Support Accounts - We create designated funds for missionaries to raise their support. We manage these funds and find solutions for donors.

  2. Prayer & Encouragement - Our Core Staff are all missionaries. We send audio prayer messages to our missionaries to encourage them in their journey.

  3. Kingdom Connections - We connect our staff with other global partners in their global region or field context.

  4. Reliable Resources - Through our Wild Frontier Fund, we personally invest in the financial needs of our trusted missionary partners.
